Dolly Parton slammed a report stating she’s battling stomach cancer.
All is well in Dollywood.
Country star Dolly Parton slammed a report stating she had stomach cancer on Wednesday and told fans she was “doing just fine.”
“There is absolutely no truth at all that I have stomach cancer,” she wrote on her website. “I love and appreciate everyone’s concern.”
The National Enquirer reported on Wednesday that Parton was battling the deadly disease, but the 69-year-old icon revealed that her only recent trip to the hospital was to treat something far less serious.
“It is true that I had kidney stones,” Parton said. “I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine!”
Parton added that she is currently filming her new movie “Coat of Many Colors” at her Knoxville, Tennessee amusement park, Dollywood.
Speculation about Parton’s health began to swirl last month after Eagles singer Don Henley told WKRN in Nashville that the country star “got out of the hospital bed” to shoot scenes for their new music video, “When I Stop Dreaming.”
He added that he guessed she “went back to the hospital” after filming for hours.
