Ronnie Wood and wife Sally Humphreys are reportedly expecting twins.
This rock legend is about to give shelter to two more kids.
Ronnie Wood, the 68-year-old guitarist for the Rolling Stones, is expecting twins with his 37-year-old wife Sally Humphries, The Sun is reporting.
Despite his age, Wood is excited to welcome two new additions to his family, a source told the British newspaper.
“He can’t wait to be a dad again, and doesn’t think his age is a problem at all,” the source said. “He still feels very young and fit.”
Wood is already the father to four children. The twins will be his first with Humphries, who he married in 2012.
The couple has been trying to have kids for a while, according to The Sun, and they have reportedly begun to tell their friends and family that she is pregnant.
“Ever since marrying Sally, (it) had always been a possibility for them,” the source tells the newspaper. “They never ruled it out.”
Wood (l.) has been a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975.
“It was a huge shock to learn they were to have twins,” they added. “But he’s more than up for the challenge.”
Wood, a longtime friend of fellow Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, joined the legendary rock group in 1975 after previous band member Mick Taylor left.
The British musician has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, first with the Stones in 1989, then with English rock group The Faces in 2012.
Wood would become the latest rock star to have a child at an advanced age. His bandmate, Mick Jagger, was 56 when he welcomed his youngest child, Lucas, while former Beatle Paul McCartney was 61 when his then-wife, Heather Mills, gave birth to their daughter, Beatrice, in 2003.
Then earlier this year, 66-year-old Billy Joel and his wife, Alexis Roderick, had a baby girl named Della Rose.
