Donald Trump’s rivals may want to take a lesson from this bird to break through Trump’s bluster.
Uncle Sam the bald eagle spooked the GOP presidential frontrunner better than any other candidate has thus far on the campaign trail, according to an outtake video Time magazine released Wednesday.
The bird’s wing flaps and beak lunges left Trump’s signature hair out of whack and made him cower in fear of the powerful 27-year-old eagle during an August photoshoot.
Donald Trump winces as a bald eagle flaps its wings near his head during a photoshoot for Time magazine.
“How’s my hair look?” Trump asked when Uncle Sam’s handler placed the eagle on Trump’s arm.
No good, he was told.
Trump whined about finishing third for the magazine’s annual Person of the Year award to German Chancellor Angela Merkel Wednesday. Yet he cozied up to the team led by photographer Martin Schoeller when the publication featured him over the summer.
Time featured Trump on its cover in August, but he complained after the magazine named him third for its annual Person of the Year award.
“Are you doing this for the cover of Time magazine? I love Time magazine,” he said. “What you will do for a cover – this bird is seriously dangerous but beautiful.”
